In a reaction to the heavy loss, Mr. Yamoah Ponkoh angrily said, "Any NDC member who was appointed by President Mahama to ensure victory for the NDC but failed to do so, will be struck down by lightning and it will land on their heads"

Speaking on Okay FM, he swore to ensure all those executives are voted out of office and also called on faithful members of the NDC to expel any member who does believe in the norms of the NDC.

He stated categorically that he is ever ready to put his life down to ensure President Mahama wins the next general election in 2020.
