The Deputy General Secretary of the NPP has said there is no chance for the NDC to rule Ghana again unless he Nana Obiri Boahen is dead and buried.

According to Nana Obiri Boahen, the NDC will not win elections anytime soon because the Electoral Commission which had been aiding them to win political power will soon be changed totally.

“I don’t trust this current Electoral Commission one-bit…they had been helping the NDC win elections, it has never been a credible institution from the days of Afari Gyan till now…the NDC can never win credible elections…,” he spoke on Asempah FM’s Ekosi Sen.

Meanwhile, some workers of the commission also petitioned the President for the removal of the impeachment of the EC. The unnamed staff petitioned the President through their counsel, Maxwell Opoku Agyemang, over allegations of fraud and abuse of office against Mrs Osei.

As a result, the Attorney General has enacted a five-member committee to investigate the EC Chairperson Charlotte Osei together with her two deputies, Georgina Opoku Amankwah who is in charge of Corporate Service and Amadu Sulley, in charge of Operations as prescribed under Article 146 of the 1992 Constitution.

However, even before the committee concludes its work, Nana Obiri Boehen insists he has lost faith in the EC. Adding that the EC has in the past under-performed and has instead been assisting the NDC wins elections.

“No wonder the NDC is where they are, they had continually relied on the support of the EC, but now, we will see, where they will get to.
