Minister of Education Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh also known as NAPO has described his predecessor Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang as an embarrassment and a disgrace to the Education Ministry.
According to Dr Opoku Prempeh, “her four-year tenure under John Mahama was nothing but an embarrassment.â€
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosi Sen programme on Tuesday afternoon, he said Prof Opoku-Agyemang as Minister left the education sector burdened with the huge debts per the Mahama administration’s own handing over notes, adding that she didn't understand education.
per the handing over notes, the debt is as follows;
Feeding Grants for Colleges of Education – GHS36 million
Feeding Grants for Special Schools – GHS4.7 million
SHS Subsidy – GHS24 million
Progressively Free Senior High School debt – GHS33 million
Capitation Grant, GHS8 million

According to him, Prof Opoku-Agyemang’s deputy, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has also made peddling falsehood his stock-in-trade and has entered opposition with that penchant.
