Accra Hearts of Oak captain Thomas Abbey is currently on trials at South African side Ajax Cape Town, Soccerladuma sources have revealed.
The 24-year-old enjoyed a fruitful 2016/17 campaign in the Ghana Premier League last season where he scored 13 goals for Hearts of Oak.
He was also an integral member of the Local Black Stars squad that won the 2017 WAFU Nations cup.Â
Reports after the GPL season indicated that, the player was set to move to the MLS, but the player is currently training with SPL side Ajax Cape Town.Â
It is still unclear how long the player will be assessed by Ajax as Head Coach Stanley Menzo want to beef up their squad in the upcoming January transfer window.Â
