Private legal practitioner, Sam Okudzeto says he finds it worrying that independent candidates and certain political parties only spring up during election times yet do no contribute in national discourse after elections only to be seen at the next election.
He observed on Ghana Television’s ‘Talking Point’ show on Sunday that the disqualification of 12 presidential aspirants was being viewed through sentimental and legal lenses noting that it was the right of citizens to stand for elections.

He however held that at the end of the day, what matters most is “what does the law say.â€
