The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested a 34-year-old man, Robert Kwabena Boamah, in connection with the murder of a young woman identified as Dorothy Owusu Annor, also known as Maa Abena, aged 23.
The lifeless body of the victim was discovered near the Mighty Jesus Educational Complex at Dominase, in the Kwadaso Municipality, on Monday, April 21, 2025.
Preliminary investigations by the police led to the discovery of an abandoned taxi at the crime scene, which was found to belong to the suspect, leading to his arrest.
In a statement issued on Thursday, April 24, the police said, “The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested suspect Robert Kwabena Boamah, 34, in connection with the murder of a young woman.
“The suspect was apprehended at his hideout in Namong, near Offinso, in the Ashanti region.”
Preparations are currently underway to arraign the suspect before court. The Ashanti Regional Police Command has reaffirmed its commitment to clamping down on crime and ensuring the safety and security of residents across the region.
