ECG announces paperless application services effective February 1

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a paperless application process for its services effective February 1, 2024.

According to a press statement by ECG, customers may now only apply for its services such as new service, a separate meter, an additional load, etc. through the ECG mobile app.

“ECG customers applying for service, such as new service, separate meter, additional load, etc., CAN ONLY DO SO THROUGH THE ECG MOBILE APP.

“Customers should note that all responses regarding their applications will be communicated to them through the contact telephone numbers provided. Customers are therefore advised to provide accurate information when applying for the service,” the release said.

The announcement highlighted that the launch of this paperless system is a component of ECG’s digital transformation plan which seeks to offer clients easier and more effective customer service.

ECG added that “customers should please contact the ECG call center on 0302 611611 (also available on WhatsApp) or their nearest district office for further information and assistance.”
