The Korle Bu Teaching Hospital has announced the immediate reopening of its Outpatient Renal Dialysis Services, following the delivery of essential consumables.

The hospital’s management in a press release issued on late Tuesday said it has scheduled patients to begin dialysis sessions today, thanks to the emergency airlift of consumables yesterday.

“We are pleased to announce the reopening of the Outpatient Renal Dialysis Services effective immediately,” the hospital stated.

The Ministry of Finance has also granted a tax waiver to expedite the clearance of additional supplies at the Tema port, expected within the week.

The hospital expressed gratitude to the Ministries of Health and Finance, and other stakeholders, for their prompt response.

“We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our renal patients for their patience and cooperation during this period,” the statement added.

Korle Bu Teaching Hospital has reviewed its processes to prevent future disruptions, ensuring uninterrupted care for patients.

“Thank you all for your continued support and understanding,” the hospital concluded.
