New appointments hit Ghana Immigration Service

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has, pursuant to section 14(1) of the Ghana Immigration Service Act, 2016, appointed Mr. Kwame Asuah Takyi as the Acting Comptroller General and Mr. Laud Kwasi Ofori Affrifa, as the Acting Deputy Comptroller General of the Ghana Immigration Service, [GIS].

In a statement issued and signed by Chief Director, Mrs. Adelaide Kumi for the Minister of Interior on March 13, 2017, their appointments take effect from March 1, and March 10 respectively.

According to the statement, Kwame Assua Takyi takes over from Felix Yaw Sarpong who is currently on terminal leave prior to compulsory retirement.

Mr. Ofori Affrifah for his part, takes over from Bonaventure Kwasi Agortimevor who is also on terminal leave prior to compulsory retirement.

The statement further said Mrs. Judith Djokoto-Lomoh remains the Deputy Comptroller General responsible for Finance and Administration whilst, Mrs. Victoria Ninette Baaba Asare also remains Deputy Comptroller-General, Legal.
