The one-eight session of the 2018 National Science and Maths Quiz(NSMQ2018) is set to begin today, Monday June 18, 2018 at the University of Ghana Business School(UGBS) with 81 competing senior high schools.
The much awaited first session of the NSMQ 2018 consists of a total of 27 contests spanning from June 18 to June 27, 2018 with each contest having a seeded school from last year’s competition against two schools from the preliminaries.
Monday's contest will see competing schools such as KNUST SHS up against Sunyani SHS and Ada SHS; Mfantsipim School up against Nandom SHS and Bolgatanga Girls' SHS; PRESEC, Legon up against Yaa Asantewaa Girls' SHS and Presby SHS, Nkwatia.
The winners of the 27 contests will then progress to the quarter-finals where they gain automatic qualification to the 2019 edition of the compettion.
The Quarter Finals stage also spans from June 28th- June 30, and Semi-Finals on July 2, 2018.
The Grand Finale of the NSMQ 2018 will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2018.
