Policewoman detained and interdicted for pouring hot water on colleague after argument

The Ghana Police Service has detained and interdicted Police Constable Alonsi Elizabeth for allegedly causing harm to a female colleague.

According to a police statement on Tuesday, March 25, the incident occurred following an argument between the two officers, during which Constable Alonsi reportedly poured hot water on the victim.

The police said the suspect is currently in police custody and will face both internal disciplinary action and legal proceedings.

“Meanwhile, the victim who sustained injuries to parts of her face and her back is in a stable condition and continues to receive medical attention and support,” part of the statement read.
