Pupils of Dabagteng Kindergarten (KG) One in the Nandom District in the Upper West Region are currently studying under a shed provided by the school.
A two-unit classroom block, an office and two storerooms built for the KG, is currently being occupied by Junior High School (JHS) forms three and one, KG two and Primary one are occupying the storerooms.
A three-unit classroom block, an office and a storeroom meant for the JHS and which was started by the previous government, has been abandoned.
The teachers said, “We have been saddled with numerous challenges. We urgently need the JHS block to be completed. JHS three and one have taken over the KG one and two classrooms. We need furniture for the pupils and us; teachers.

Speaking to Aloysius Nuobe-Iyagr, Assemblyman for the Ketuo Electoral area, he said the three-unit classroom and office block was one of five GetFund projects started by the previous government in the last quarter of 2016.
He said. “The project has stalled because the government has brought auditors to audit all five GetFund projects in the District before work on those projects could continue.â€
Until then, pupils of Dabagteng KG one will still have to study under a shed and using cement blocks as chairs and a half piece of plywood as chalkboard whilst JHS three and one occupy the KG block until the abandoned three-unit classroom block is completed.
