In a thrilling finale to the 2024 DOL Super Cup, Vision FC emerged victorious over Okwawu United in a nail-biting penalty shootout, clinching the title with a 7-6 win after regulation time ended in a goalless draw.

The match, held at the Nana Kronamansah Park, was a tense affair from start to finish. Both teams had their fair share of chances during the 90 minutes, but neither could find the back of the net, leading to the dreaded penalty shootout.

Okwawu United and Vision FC each took ten penalties, with Okwawu United missing four and Vision FC missing three. It was Edward Agyemang who stepped up to take the decisive penalty for Vision FC, coolly slotting it past the Okwawu United goalkeeper to secure the victory.

Hamzata Ataibu of Vision FC was named the Player of the Match for his outstanding performance, contributing significantly to his team’s success.

The match was marked by missed opportunities and wasted chances from both sides during regulation time, but Vision FC held their nerve in the shootout to claim the prestigious title.

With this victory, Vision FC have announced their intent to compete in the Ghana Premier League next season.
