Egyptian Premier League side Al Masry have decided to turn down Hossam Hassan’s resignation as the club head coach, few hours after he was announced a new boss for Pyramids FC.
Hassan decided to leave Al Masry after his side crashed out of the CAF Confederations Cup semi-final game following a heavy loss to DR Congo’s AS Vita Club.
Later during the day, Pyramids FC officially announced the appointment of Hossam Hassan as head coach replacing resigned coach Ricardo La Volpe.

“Al Masry entire board of directors would like that it has categorically and on consensus refused the resignation which have been presented by the first team’s technical staff led by Hossam Hassan and Ibrahim Hassan,†Al Masry statement read.
“The board affirms that it’s in constant convention in the coming hours in order to convince the Hassan twins to renounce their decision and return to lead the team towards achieving more like how things have gone in the past three years.â€
