Asante Kotoko has confirmed that CAF has written to them officially to warn them about the green nature of Baba Yara pitch.

The Porcupine Warriors have played their last 2 matches of the CAF Confederation Cup at the Bara Stadium but CAF have warned them, they must improve the green nature of the pitch or else they face sanctions.
This was confirmed by both Operations manager Ernest Owusu Ansah and Accra rep Edmund Ackah of Asante Kotoko in an interview on Kumasi-based Nhyira Fm.
Director General of National Sports Authority(NSA), Prof Peter Twumasi disclosed in an interview on Nhyira Fm that no renovations have been made after CAN 2008 and that has led to the poor standard of the pitch.
He further added that the NSA is working with Mr Frank Boahen's Green Grass Technology to get the pitch in good condition for CAF to continue to allow Asante Kotoko to use it.
The Reds will be hoping measures will be put in place for them to be able to use the pitch in their next Confederation Cup Group C tie when they take on Zambian outfit Zesco United on February 13.
