Hearts of Oak's hope of restoring their lost glory in Africa has been shattered after a battering defeat against JS Saoura in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Phobians on Sunday succumbed to a 4-0 defeat to the Algerian side at the Stade 20 Août 1955.
Having lost the first leg 2-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium courtesy Salifu Ibrahim and Isaac Agyenim Boateng's strikes last week they played about themselves on December 5 to qualify on a 4-2 aggregate.
The result meant the Ghana champions have been booted out of the CAF Confederation Cup.
This is the second time the Phobians have been kicked out of Africa after they were knocked out of the CAF Champions League and dropped to the second tier, CAF Confederation Cup.

Prior to the JS Saoura match head coach of Hearts of Oak Samuel Boadu said he had learned a lot he suffered a 6-2 aggregate defeat to WAC of Morocco in October..
“Going into the return leg, I have learnt a lot from the WAC game so we need to strategise going into the clash against the Algerians, it doesn’t matter with the changes of the team, how we strategise is the most important aspect and the approach to the game,” Samuel Boadu said.
However, it proved to be just a mere talk.
