The Ghana Netball Federation has announced Acehonor, as its new kits sponsor as part of efforts to develop the sports in Accra.
The sports gear outfit, following the announcement, presented some kits to the Life Patron for the Federation, Mr. George Lutterodt during a netball competition held at the University of Ghana, Legon.
The competition was also used to select players for the upcoming international netball competition in Uganda next month.
Representative of Acehonor, Francis Amorin said the presentation was aimed at strengthening the relationship between the two outfits.
“Netball is a very good sport with lots of potentials and we hope to support them and ensure they make the nation proud in their upcoming competitionâ€Â
He added that, the outfit would design an appropriate jersey for the national team that would be used for all international competitions.
He was supported by Iain Ge,an official at Acehonor, who also pledged Acehonor’s commitment to the development of netball in the country.
Life Patron of the federation, Mr. Lutterodt expressed appreciation to Acehonor for the donation adding that they are looking forward to a lasting relationship.
“This is the way to go for sports in the country and I urge other federations to seek for sponsorships from corporate entities. I also ask more entities to come on board to support netball,†he stated.
At the end of the competition, Golden Ladies emerged as the ultimate winner after beating All Stars 18-15 in the finals while Hunters and Krobo Ladies settled for the third and fourth positions respectively.
