The Ghana Premier League has kicked off in fine fashion as all matches for Week one have been played with the exception of Liberty's game against Aduana as the latter is playing in the CAF Champions League.
All attention was at the Sogakope park as WAFA hosted Kumasi Asante Kotoko. Kotoko have had some forgettable moments at Sogakope as they have struggled to win there for some time.
History almost repeated itself when the host shot into the lead in the 5th minute through Mohammed Aminu.
Kotoko responded in the 19th minute as Striker Yakubu Mohammed bailed them. Both teams went in search of the winner but the game ended 1-1.
This is the first competitive game Kotoko coach Paa Kwesi Fabin has presided over for the Porcupines since taking charge.
At Techiman Premier League new boys Eleven Wonders drew 1-1 with Accra Hearts of Oak.
Hearts drew first blood as early as the 8th minute through Winful Cobbinah. The Phobians held on till the first half ended.
Eleven Wonders got their equalizer in the 64th minute through former Kotoko striker Alex Asamoah.
No goals were scored again in the game and it ended 1-1.
In other matches Ashantigold beat WA All Stars 1-0, Dreams FC and Elmina Sharks game ended 1-0 in favour of Dreams.
