Ghanaian striker Bernard Tekpetey has signed for newly promoted Bundesliga II side SC Paderborn.
The former UniStar Academy player signed a three-year deal with the side on Wednesday, July 24, 2018.
He joins from Schalke 04 where he has failed to hold a permanent place in the team.
Bernard Tekpetey last season featured on loan at Austrian side SCR Altach but returned to Schalke during the winter.
The Director of Sports for Paderborn, Markus Krosche stated that Tekpetey is a great talent and he will be very useful for his side.

“Bernard can be used in multiple positions, in offensive because he is technical and has pace, he has tremendous momentum, high intelligence in the game and very good technical skills. His commitment makes us even more flexible on the offensive,†Kroshe stated after his signing.

Tekpetey, 20, was called up to the Black Stars for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations. He made his debut for Ghana in a 1-0 loss to Egypt national football team on 25 January 2017. He has two caps for Ghana.
