Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association Randy Abbey says the 2020/21 Premier League is Hearts of Oak's to lose.

Hearts of Oak are cruising to their first league title since 2009 after they beat Asante Kotoko in the Super Clash last Sunday. A Daniel Afriyie's second-half strike saw the Phobians won 1-0 against the Porcupines at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The win saw leaders Hearts of Oak move to 59 points, 3 more than rivals and 2nd placed Kotoko.

With three matches to go and having a superior head-to-head advantage over their Kotoko, Hearts of Oak who despite a slow start to the season, now need two wins to be crowned champions.

According to Randy Abbey, he can't see how Hearts of Oak would bottle it.

"Well, they are on course and the momentum is on their side now. It is theirs to lose and I don't see hearts of losing it," the GFA ExCo member said.

Randy Abbey further touched on the Ghana Premier League, saying this year's league has been nothing short but exciting.

"It's exciting everybody can see, I don't remember the last time we finished the season. It looks like by the grace of God despite all the problems and the violence we've seen at some venues that nearly mar this season, I think we are cruising to a good end and it has been good."

Hearts of Oak will this weekend travel to Cape Coast to lock horns with Ebusua Dwarfs. The match is scheduled for a 6:00 pm kick-off on Sunday while their rivals Kotoko will host King Faisal at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium on Saturday at 3:00 pm.
