Ghanaian forward Kevin-Prince Boateng has revealed that he snubbed Germany for Ghana because he wanted to play for his country.
Kevin-Prince Boateng was born in Germany and played for the country at the youth level but opted to play for Ghana at the expense of Germany.
The 31-year-old's brother Jerome Boateng who plays for Bayern Munich in the German Bundesliga opted to feature for the Diemancraft.

"There was no room for me there (in the German national team) because I always say what I think. Back then, a guy like me wasn't wanted," Boateng said.
"I wanted to play for my country to represent who I am, and that's why I chose to play for Ghana. I'm happy because it enabled me to discover my origins." The Sassuolo midfielder added.

Kevin-Prince Boateng has netted twice in three games for Sassuolo in the Italia Serie A this season.
