Former Asante Kotoko forward Alex Asamoah has hinted that the club owes him an amount of GHC 8000 after his move from Ashantigold to the Porcupine Warriors.
According to the Techiman Eleven Wonders goal poacher, his gargantuan move from Obuasi to Kumasi saw the record Ghanaian champions pay only part of his transfer fee with the rest yet to be paid.
The 32-year-old striker was transferred from Ashantigold to Asante Kotoko for a record 100 million old Cedis, now GHC 10,000.Â
"I joined Kotoko on 17th March 2008 and I signed a 2 years contract with Kotoko in a bid of 100 million(old cedis) but they (Kotoko) still owe me 8,000gh," he told Ash FM in Kumasi.
"I played in the Kotoko U-20 so when is was joining the senior team, I knew what the fans want so there was no fears and I did exactly what they wanted," he added.
Asamoah played 27 times for the Reds, scoring 16 times before leaving for Algerian side ES Setif in 2011.
