A first half goal for Kamaradini Mamudu fired Medeama SC to the top of the Premier League table with a 1-0 win at Legon Cities FC on Saturday September 14, 2024.

The versatile defender squeezed home the only goal of the match in the 18th minute with a tap in from close range at the University of Ghana Stadium.

The visitors held on to cement their impressive record against the Royals on matchday-2 of the Premier League.

The win sends the Mauve and Yellow to the summit of the league for at least 24 hours, ahead of the remaining matches, with five games set to be played on Sunday September 15, 2024.

The 2022-23 Premier League winners have maintained a 100% record to start to the season following their hard fought 1-0 win over Accra Lions in the season's opener last weekend.

For Legon Cities, their second successive defeat is an early warning to the team with 32 matches left to be played.
