Black Stars Captain Asamoah Gyan says no one can force him to retire prematurely from the senior national team, the Black Stars.

Several fans have called for the striker to call it quit and hung his boot after a dip in form in Ghan's last few matches.

The Black Stars of Ghana are facing the possibility of missing out on the 2018 World Cup amid the slow start to the qualification campaign.

This has solely been attributed to some poor performances from the senior figures in the team like Asamoah Gyan and Andre Ayew.

The Kayserispor striker has however said this will not influence him to retire prematurely from the Black Stars despite the numerous calls from a section of the public.

"My records for the national team can't be erased, yes, it can't be erased and no one can retire me from the national is only God and time".Gyan told Angel FM.

Asamoah is Ghana's all-time top scorer with 51 goals to his name.
