Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey has been named in CAF nominees for the 2018 African Player of the Year award.
The CAF shortlist of 34 players for the accolade included Thomas Partey, who happens to be the only Ghanaian.
The African football governing body released the nominees for the fabled award on Friday morning.

Other African top players in Europe on the list include Sadio Mane of Liverpool, Kalidou Koulibaly of Napoli, Riyad Mahrez of Manchester City, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Arsenal.
The number will be reduced to three before the awards ceremony in Dakar, Senegal in January 2019.
Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey has also been nominated for the 2018 BBC African Footballer of the Year award.
