Heung-Min Son has been crowned the London Premier League Player of the Year 2019 award.Â
The Tottenham winger was awarded the top gong for his stunning form this campaign where he has netted 16 goals from 34 appearances in all the competitions. In awards, which celebrate the best of London football in the 2018/19 season, Son beat off teammate Harry Kane, who won last year's award.
He also got the bragging rights ahead of the north London derby after beating Arsenal's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Chelsea star Eden Hazard and Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend completed the five-man shortlist. he award was given to Son by a panel of 22 experts including ex-players such as Bobby Zamora, Bob Wilson, and Tony Cottee.
Son has been in sensational form, helping his side within touching distance of a Champions League quarter-final and are currently third in the Premier League standings.Â
