Ghana's Black Stars have returned to the summit of Group I following an emphatic 5-0 victory over Chad on Friday.
Goals from either side of the half ensured Otto Addo's charges annihilated Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Black Stars started the match dominantly and took the lead in the 2nd-minute courtesy of Antoine Semenyo. Inaki Williams and Jordan Ayew added the 2nd and 3rd respectively as the first ended 3-0 in favor of the four-time AFCON winners.
The Black Stars continued from where they left off as Mohammed Salisu's header found the back of the net from a corner in the 56th minute before Ernest Nuamah put the icing on the cake 12 minutes later.
The win means Ghana now tops Group 1 with 12 points from 5 games while Madagascar sits second with 10 points.
Black Stars will travel to Morocco to play Madagascar on Monday, March 24, 2025.
