Black Stars captain Jordan Ayew has expressed gratitude to Ghanaians for their massive support during the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers.
The four-time African champions secured two victories, including a 5-0 thrashing of Chad and a 3-0 win over Madagascar for the first time in eight matches.
"To our incredible Ghanaian fans, I would like to extend our sincerest gratitude for your unwavering support during our recent 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar," Jordan Ayew said in a statement.
"Your infectious energy, passion and loyalty inspire us, and we are deeply honoured to represent our great nation.
"Although we faced challenges during the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, we are ready to turn things around and make you proud. We are working diligently to ensure we secure the necessary results to qualify for the World Cup."
With the back-to-back wins, Ghana now tops Group I table with 15 points.
The Black Stars’ next match in the World Cup qualifiers is against Chad on September 1, 2025.
