The African Prosperity Network (APN) has become a pivotal platform for fostering dialogue and collaboration among the brightest minds from both the public and private sectors, aimed at driving Africa's growth through the utilisation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) to stimulate and catalyse intra-African trade.

Stakeholders have lauded the APN's African Prosperity Dialogue series as a significant forum for empowering African businesses to expand into new markets.

During the launch of the 2025 APD series in Accra, Mr Gabby Otchere-Darko, the Executive Chairman of APN, announced that next year's dialogue series was scheduled to take place from January 30 to February 1, 2025.

This upcoming event will mark the first time that the dialogue series will be held in Accra, specifically at the prestigious Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).

According to him, this year's dialogue series is on the theme: ‘’Delivering Africa’s Prosperity Through Infrastructure: Invest. Integrate. Connect

Additionally, the Champions of Business Gala will also be hosted at the Dome within the AICC premises.

Dr Amin Adams, the Finance Minister, graced the occasion as the guest of honour and commended APN for providing a crucial platform for economic solutions across the continent.

He highlighted the pressing issue of poverty in Africa, with approximately 546 million people currently living in poverty, exacerbated by significant infrastructure deficits.

Dr Adams emphasised that Africa required an annual investment of $130 billion to address these infrastructure gaps, particularly in critical sectors such as energy, transportation, and telecommunications.

He underscored the urgent need to tackle Africa's infrastructure challenges, noting that the continent lags behind in infrastructure development compared to other regions.

He emphasised the importance of concerted efforts to address these deficiencies, as they serve as impediments to the continent's economic growth and development
