Emirates to get new Country Manager early next year

Emirates Ghana will from early next year – 2018, have a new leadership.

This follows a recent appointment of Cathy Wesley as the company’s new Country Manager for Ghana by the board.

The new Country Manager - expected to resume by 1st January, 2018, will take over the company’s business in Ghana from Hendrik Du Preez who will now move to Kenya on a similar role after four years in Ghana.

Currently, Emirate runs a passenger, cargo and airport operations in Ghana as well as several other African countries.

Prior to her appointment to the new position, Ms. Cathy had from joining Emirates in 2009 served as its Sales Manager at Durban and later, Johannesburg – South Africa.

In a statement – Emirates’ Senior Vice President Commercial Operations for Africa Orhan Abbas, said: “we are constantly evolving and growing as a business and this gives our people the chance to grow and develop as well. We are happy to appoint Cathy to this role and wish her every success”.
