Finance Minister, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson has dismissed allegations of approving a $1.7 million single-source procurement contract.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, the Finance Minister described the claim as false and asked the public to disregard it.
He added that he has not approved any procurement contracts since he assumed office, while reaffirming his commitment to ensuring a responsible economic management.
“This claim is completely false and should be disregarded. Let me state clearly and categorically: I have not approved any procurements since I took office as Minister.
“My focus remains on ensuring transparency, accountability, and responsible economic management in the best interest of Ghana,” he wrote.
