Japanese Ambassador to Ghana, Kauro Yoshimura, has said, Ghana needs to be attractive for the Japanese private sector to support in the economic growth of the country.Â
Speaking to the media during an interaction on Saturday, the Ambassador expressed the view that Ghana would have a better relationship with Japan that would translate into economic growth if the private sector becomes attractive to Japanese.Â
"Ten years ago, relation with Ghana was purely government to government but now the Japanese private sector has joined. They have become main actors with Ghana in terms of development and the environment must be created for them to excel", he stated.Â
According to Mr.Yoshimura, Ghana is safe with friendly and decent citizens and a stable political atmosphere which is an advantage over other neighbouring countries but there is still more to be done.Â
He explained that the micro economic situation in Ghana is not favourable and Ghana could be more attractive to Japan business if it is improved.Â
He therefore recommended that, Ghana must create better micro economic circumstances, have prudent fiscal and adequate monetary policies as well as private sector oriented policies to attract Japanese  investors.Â
When that is done he said, Ghana would have a stronger relationship with Japan as far as the growth of the economy is concerned.Â
