Telecommunications operators Tigo & Airtel are expected to unveil a new brand name and logo today, following the successful completion of the a merger deal.
The National Communications Authority - NCA approved the merger subject to conditions which covers every aspect of the telecoms operators – including, a new leadership, brand name and logo.
Speaking to the media ahead of the occasion - Marketing Director of Airtel, Rosy Fynn, said in addition to the name and logo, newly constituted executive for the merged company will also be disclosed to the public.
She however explained that completing the entire merger process would take about a year but that the brand name initiative was a critical aspect of that journey and most importantly, in laying the right foundation for a thriving merged company in Ghana’s telecommunications industry.
On another set of developments from the Tigo & Airtel community, there have been rumors that some workers have begun making plans to leave the company ahead of a rumored downsizing exercise that is expected to cut across all levels of management at the new company.
