MTN Music Festival - 3rd December
MTN Music Festival forms part of MTN Ghana’s annual celebration and expression of the Ghanaian heritage through the art of music, dance and poetry. The event is the 25th edition of the MTN Music Festival, which is amongst the many staged MTN traditional shows making headlines from time-to-time.
Akpe Experience - 3rd December
Gospel music group, Bethel Revival Choir will be having its maiden concert called ‘Akpe Experience’ on December 3, 2021. It will be an annual event to serve as a platform for giving God all the praise and worshipping him. Aside from the performances, there will be a live recording of the third album of Bethel Revival Choir. As a music ministry under the Global Evangelical Church, Bethel Revival Choir shot to fame with the ‘Akpe’ album in 2018.
Rhythms On Runway - 4th December
The 2021 Rhythms On The Runway is the 9th edition organised by KOD’s Nineteen57 Event. This year’s edition will feature top designers such as Senyo Foli, Katie O, Details by Neyomi, MUDI, Jesu Segun, Nadrey Laurent, Pernia Couture, Nineteen57, Gloria Sarfo, and Attoh Andoh whose works will be showcased.
Rhythms On Da Runway 2021 will be held (AICC) under the theme: ‘The Masquerade,’ to promote the wearing of face masks for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19. There will also be anticipated great musical performances from Efya, Afriyie, Sefa, Edem, Adina, Fameye, Miss Floewe from South Africa, Michael Stuckey from the USA and Shatta Wale.
The Jollof Festival- 4th December
The continent’s biggest Jollof event, The Jollof Festival 2021 will see thousands of food lovers come together to eat and drink from an extensive selection served up by some of the best chefs, restaurants, and street food vendors in Accra – promising to be bigger than previous editions, and we couldn’t be more thrilled!
Made in Taadi - 4th December
Made in Taadi is an event hosted by Kofi Kinaata. The event seeks to promote artistes and music from the Western region
‘The Secret Code of Wives’ - 4th-5th December
‘The Secret Code of Wives’ is an exhilarating play by Ebo Whyte. Roverman Productions intends to wow its audience with this pre-Christmas package.
Accra Fashion Week- 9-12th December
Accra Fashion Week is scheduled to celebrate its 5th year anniversary in December 2021.
This year will mark the 5th anniversary of Accra Fashion Week. Since its inception in 2016, the four-day fashion event has quickly become a highly anticipated show, to the delight of fashion lovers in and outside Ghana.
Popular But Broke - 11th December
Comedy Prodigy OB Amponsah, in partnership with Joy Entertainment are set to treat audiences to a delightful December with an unforgettable comedy special.
The media partnership powers the highly anticipated ‘Popular but Broke’ comedy special – the revolutionary all-star standup comedy event, touted to move patrons off their seats, with its hilarious content and performances.
GT Bank Concert - 17th December
The concert is a community engagement event designed to spotlight the best of African entertainment to a global audience whilst promoting wider acceptance of its individuality and shared character as a vibrant and energetic people.
The event will be live-streamed to millions worldwide while Covid-19 protocols will be observed.

The One Concert is an event by Jupitar. This event promotes reggae and dancehall genre.

Bhim Concert- 21st December
Bhim Concert is an event by Stonebwoy. The event seeks to celebrate reggae /dancehall music and artistes all over the globe. This year will be the 5th edition of the Bhim Concert. King Beenie Man will be performing this year.
Romanus Incomplete - 23rd December
After two episodes of ‘Romanus Incomplete’, Romanus Empire returns this December with the award-winning Stand-up Comedian, actor and television host foster Romanus and his friends.
According to him, this is going to be the official Christmas Comedy Party dubbed ‘Romanus Incomplete III’ – #ThePartyExperience. Romanus Incomplete III promises to be a rib-cracking, jaw-breaking comedy show packed with dazzling performances from Foster Romanus, musicians, and dancers.
Promiseland (King Promise) - 24th December
King Promise is set to stage the 4th edition of his annual December concert. The event which was last held in 2019, returns to the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel this year under the theme ‘Homecoming Edition’
Samini Xperience- 24th December
Ace Reggae/Dancehall act, Samini is set to thrill his teeming fans across the globe with dope performances of all his hits during the Samini Xperience Concert. The Samini Xperience Concert, in partnership with MTN, will seek to crystalize the achievements of the Dancehall artist. Samini will be 40 years in December and this event will celebrate his 40 years birthday and 20 years of incredible artistry.

Rapperholic Concert is an event by Sarkodie. The BET award-winning rapper has gone ahead to host 9 consecutive Rapperholic concerts which have never flopped but have rather become a show music lovers look forward to every December. The event celebrates mostly rap music.
Freedom Concert - 25th December
Shatta Wale will be hosting his annual Freedom Concert on 25th December. This year Freedom Concert features Medikal.
Wildaland Festival - 26th to 27th December
YFM, Ghana’s number one urban and music radio and Wildaland Festival have partnered for the first-ever Wildaland Festival.
Set in the heart of the blooming wilderness of the Shai Forest Reserve, WILDALAND is a new 2-day music and entertainment lifestyle festival which will feature performances from notable Ghanaian, African and global music headliners.
The festival, which promises to deliver never-seen-before experiences, will take place on 26th and 27th of December at the Shai Forest Reserve.
Afrochella Festival - 28th-31st December
Afrochella is a celebration of Africa’s diverse culture and the vibrant work of African creatives & entrepreneurs. The festival is designed to elevate and highlight the thrilling and thriving millennial talent in Africa by introducing an interactive event that teaches, explains and explores various cultures through a pioneering approach. Afrochellans will experience art and creative activations from the continent, celebrate African music, and taste premium and cultured cuisine.
If you are planning to have fun this December in Ghana by attending the social events listed, then you'd need the COVID-19 vaccination card.
The Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mark Okraku Mantey said people without Covid -19 vaccination will not be allowed entry into events this December.
According to the Minister, the government has outlined requirements and guidelines to control and avoid the spread of COVID-19 within the December festivities. Event organizers have been asked not to overcrowd their venues so that social distancing can be practised.
