Ghanaian choreographer and singer Kweku Sarpong Plahar known on stage as Incredible Zigi has revealed that he was the first person to start social media dancing in Ghana.
On Thursday, November 11, 2021, discussing the state of the Ghana dance industry and the way forward on Daybreak Hitz, Incredible Zigi disclosed that he faced many challenges when he started dancing on social media.
Incredible Zigi mentioned that nobody believed in dancing on social media in Ghana when he started.
His biggest challenge as a dancer was how people criticised and judged dancers.

People saw dancers to be ‘hopeless’, he said, revealing that this perception has killed the dreams of many dancers in Ghana.
He had to step out of his game and rebrand himself as a bigger and better dancer, he said.
Even after that, he had the worst experience in his dancing career when he was yanked off a seat reserved for a singer, Zigi revealed.
“When I started doing social media, there was nobody doing social media with dancing in Ghana. I started doing it a long time; people didn’t really understand the concept. But right now everyone is doing it here and it feels so great to be one of those who started it,” he said.
