Ghanaian actor and comedian Kwadwo Nkansah known in showbiz as Lil Win has disclosed that he has never been invited to any meeting of celebrities in Accra.

He cited the recent event organised for the Inspector General of Police Dr George Akuffo Dampare and stakeholders in the creative arts industry as an example of the many meetings that he has not been invited to.

The IGP had a private meeting with members of the creative arts industry on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at the police CID headquarters to discuss openly security issues affecting the industry and the way forward.

The programme was moderated by Okay FM’s Abeiku Santana and saw many members of the creative arts industry including, actors, musicians, bloggers, producers, poets, dancers, and recognised groups in the industry.

The discussion focused on matters such as piracy of creative works, provision of event security, access to police uniforms and premises for productions, a dedicated police unit to facilitate activities of industry players, and the unprofessional conduct exhibited by some police officers.

In an interview on Accra FM, Lil Win lamented that despite being among the top stars in the Kumawood industry, he didn’t get an invite for the private meeting between the IGP and industry players.

I met Agya Koo at the airport; it was through him that I got to know persons in the creative arts industry who had a meeting with the IGP in Accra and I had no idea about it; nobody invited me, nobody told me about it, he said in Twi.

He stressed that any meeting that has taken place in Accra concerning celebrities, I’ve never been invited but I’m among the top three celebrities in the country.

so, if there’s a meeting to discuss issues concerning the industry, isn’t it strange that the celebrity Ghanaians listen to and love, like myself, was not invited? he quizzed.

If I were present, maybe my suggestion would have been considered but they assume Lil Win is a child, he added.
