Friday Night hitmaker Nathaniel Owusu popularly known by the stage name Lasmid is the latest artist to part ways with Kaywa’s Highly Spiritual Music.

The news comes weeks after artiste Mr. Drew announced he was no longer signed to the record label.

Confirming the news to Andy Dosty on Adom TV, CEO of Highly Spiritual Music, David Kojo Kyei, popularly known as Kaywa revealed Lasmid asked to leave the label before the recently held Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

“I’ll confirm that Lasmid has left Highly Spiritual Music. The conversation with Lasmid has been back and forth. He started asking to exit the label way before the VGMA. There’s a story behind it but I don’t think it’s appropriate to start the Lasmid conversation right now,” he said.

Lasmid, winner of the music reality show, MTN Hitmaker 8, signed a management and record-producing deal with Kaywa’s Highly Spiritual Music in May 2020.

The record label started in 2017 with big names including Kurl Songs, Yaw Berk, Krymi and King Maaga, all have since exited.
