Multiple award-winning Ghanaian dancehall/reggae artiste, Samini, says he has accepted EIB Network’s apology.

The apology comes two days after the S-Concert show in which Samini could not performed, even though he was billed to headline the event. Speaking on Zylonfon’s Showbiz Agenda on Monday, the ‘Linda’ hitmaker said he respects EIB for releasing the apology.

He stated that he was happy the Excellence In Broadcasting (EIB) Network has realized it’s mistake.

“I am happy with the release of their apology.” “It shows that my inability to perform didn’t mean I was not qualified, but rather a mistake from their side,” Samini said The EIB Network has apologized to Samini, Ebony and other artists who could not perform at the much-anticipated S-Concert.

This, according to the organizers, was due to some technical hitches and miscommunication. Explaining why he could not perform at the S-Concert, Samini said there was a mismanagement at the backstage which hindered his performance.

According to him, he was contracted to mount the stage at exactly 1:30 am to perform. However, it appeared that Shatta Wale had also been allotted that same time to perform.

Therefore, he would not fully blame Shatta Wale for his inability to perform. Rather, the organizers who could not enhance better communication during the event.

“For all that went on at the backstage; the poor stage control, the timing and everything, it was a blunder on the part of the organizers,” Samini said.

Asked by the presenter Sammy Flex, if he feels Shatta Wale deliberately prevented him from performing as payback time, Samini answered in the negative.

According to the allegation, Shatta Wale had accused Samini of employing some tactics to prevent him (Shatta) from performing when Mavado visited Ghana in 2011-2012.

Samini refuted the allegation, saying since Shatta Wale made that accusation about 5 years ago, he had asked him to come clean but Shatta has refused to do so. According to Samini, Shatta could not perform at that Mavado concert because then he didn’t have any hit song.

He lamented that Shatta Wale has always accused him of things he Samini does not know about. “Bandana (referring to Shatta Wale) has always painted me black; he has accused me of sabotage just to spoil my name,” Samini complained.
