Sarkodie’s ‘Highest’ album has successfully knocked out Shatta Wale’s ‘Reign’ album off the number one spot on the Ghana iTunes chart.Â
Sarkodie’s Highest album was dropped in September 2017 after Shatta Wale’s ‘Reign’ album was released on 13th October 2018.
Shatta's album was topping the chart at number 1 position, but as at today October 27, the ‘Highest’ album is on the number one chart, meaning that, it’s started getting new purchases again from fans.Sarkodie and Shatta used to be great friends until Wale started demeaning his brand by attacking him on several radio interviews that Sarkodie was a hypocrite, a broke musician and one who’s career is dying because of his ‘silly’ fans. Sarkodie who got pissed off dropped a diss song titled ‘My Advice’ which Wale has failed to reply, but came to say Sarkodie is a rapper, and he’s a dancehall artiste, so it’s not done.
Social media have praised Sarkodie for dropping ‘My Advice’ to shut up the loud mouth Shatta Wale but the dancehall king still feels undefeated and even bought a Benz to respond to Sarkodie.
With Shatta topping the charts, Sarkodie recently tweeted his album again after it was reported that, the ‘Reign’ album had made it’s way to Billboard World Music Chart, with Shatta sitting on the number 6 position, an action fans of Wale criticised Sarkodie for, saying that he was rather ‘insecure’ and now wants his album to be in the Billboard’s charts.
Well, it seems that tweet from Sarkodie has had some effect, and he’s proven once again that he’s indeed the ‘Highest’.
We don’t know how long he would hold the number one support as Shatta sits on number 2 on the Ghana iTunes Chart and number 4 on the World album charts.
