When Akwaaba UK’s Event Manager, Dennis Tawiah indicated that Shatta Wale was the man settled upon to delight Londoners on their bank holiday in the ‘Shatta Wale Live in Concert’ gig, they knew the skill Wale possessed and true to form patrons got their monies worth according to reports.
On Friday, August 26, at the Indigo 02 Arena, Shatta Wale proved to be master in control in his one hour performance serving copious doses of tunes from his ‘After the Storm’ album while serving desserts to the fans who were engrossed in the whole service with new releases being the prolific man that he is.
Hundreds of music lovers partook of the show which saw Wale sing, dance, jump and engage them in memories sure to linger on for years to come. That the venue was packed with many more willing but unable to secure entry is evident that the ‘Kakai’ hitmaker was very much in demand.
Prior to the concert hover, Shatta Wale paid a courtesy call on Ghana’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, Hon. Victor Smith as demanded by custom to inform him he was in his territory while offering copies of his album for his listening pleasure.
He also shared with the statesman his peace initiatives undertaken.
