Popular Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson, has denied rumors that she has secretly gotten married recently.
On July 21, 2021, there was news circulating online that the actress had married an Italian man, but there were no pictures or videos to prove it.
The false news was mostly covered by blogs, drawing reactions from social media users, with some congratulating the actress for finally deciding to settle down after having a baby.

However, shortly after this, Yvonne Nelson, through her lawyers, instructed the blogs to remove the story or face legal repercussions.
Her lawyers stated in the statement that the rumours surrounding her alleged secret wedding were false.
Yemmey Baba, a well-known Ghanaian-based Nigerian blogger who was, among the first to spread this fake news, has since apologised to the actress.
