Two people are feared dead in a fatal accident involving a commercial vehicle on the Kumasi-Sefwi highway.
The accident reportedly occurred at Sefwi Dansokrom a suburb of Sefwi Bekwai in the Western Region at about 9:45 am on Tuesday. Twenty other passengers in the commercial vehicle sustained various degrees of injury and were conveyed with the help of the police to  Green Shade, Peace and Grace and Wiawso government hospitals.

Narrating the incident to Primenewghana, one survivor by name Antwi said passengers on the vehicle realised a fault with one of the back tyres soon after the vehicle took off. The driver by name Kofi Nyamebekyere inspected it but said it was a minor issue that should not hamper the journey and drove on.
The tyre burst when the Sprinter got to Dansokrom  and the vehicle somersaulted four times before hitting an electric post. Four minors involved in the accident sustained injuries, they are however expected to make a full recovery.

The police service in the Western Region are yet to commence investigations into the accident.
