The earlier information that Member of Parliament (MP) for Dome Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo was one of the 50 worst performing MPs in the sixth parliament of the Fourth Republic is not correct, publishers of the report have stated.
Odekro, a civil society organisation with focus on Ghana’s governance system especially the legislature, on Tuesday released a report of the performances of the 275 MPs in the last parliament indicating that well-known MPs like Kennedy Agyapong of the Assin-Central Constituency, Ms. Safo, among others were among that worst performers.
But according to the Director of Monitoring and Evaluation of Odekro, Kinna Likimani the Dome Kwabenya MP who is now the Deputy Majority Leader of the House rather emerged as the best performing female MP ranking 58th overall.
Speaking in an interview with Joy News TV on Wednesday, Madam Likimani indicated that the misinformation occurred due to an error in the infographic they published.Â
"Adwoa Safo is the highest ranked woman. We apologise for the error in the fact sheet", she stated.
