Three feared dead in Konkomba, Dagomba clashes at Agbogbloshie

Three people are feared dead after clashes between Konkombas and Dagombas at the Konkomba Yam Market Agbogbloshie in Accra.

The clashes is believed to have occurred after a Konkomba allegedly  stole a gas cylinder belonging a Dagomba in the area. 

Several others have also been injured in the Tuesday's clashes including a pregnant woman who is reported to have been shot and was in a critical condition after being rushed to the hospital.

According to an eyewitness, many of the people engaged in the clashes were wielding guns he believed to be AK47s.

The latest clash between the two northern ethnic groups in the area has brought activities in the area to a halt as a joint police and military team have taken over the place which is a popular slum in Accra.

 Meanwhile, PRO of the Ghana Police Service, Superintendent Cephas Arthur has stated that though his outfit was aware of injuries to several people, none of the victims had been confirmed dead yet as being reported.
