The Vice President, Nkoranza Anglican University College of Technology (ANGUTECH), has commended President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for fulfilling of his Party’s manifesto pledge to create new regions in the country.
Professor Kwasi Nsiah-Gyabaah, said the new regions would help to bring governance closer to the local people and that would facilitate accelerated national socio-economic growth and development.
He was addressing members of the Nkoranza South Municipal Assembly at a sensitisation meeting on the creation of the Bono-East Region at Nkoranza in the Brong-Ahafo Region.

He urged Assembly members to encourage their constituents to turnout massively during the referendum so that the voting requirement stipulated by the constitution would be met for the creation of the region.
Prof Nsiah-Gyabaah, who is the Secretary to the local committee campaigning for the creation of the new region in the area, called on Assembly Members to intensify community education on the referendum processes for the public to appreciate it.
He told the members that if the local people understood the processes, there would be no way that they would fail to participate in the voting process.Â
