President Nana Akufo-Addo has left Ghana for Nigeria, to attend a two-day International Conference on Transformative Governance in Africa.
A press statement from the Presidency signed by the Director of Communications Eugene Arhin said the President has left for Nigeria on Wednesday, February 14 upon the invitation of the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Most Rev. Dr. Matthew Hassan Kukah.
President Akufo-Addo will deliver the keynote address at the Conference, on the theme, “How to make Democracy work for Africa.â€

“The President will return to Ghana on Thursday, 15th February 2018, and in his absence, the Vice President, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, shall, in accordance with Article 60(8) of the Constitution, act in his stead,†the statement added.
