Member of Parliament (MP) for Ningo Prampram Sam George says his engagement with some security forces in the past gave him an idea that the National Security Operatives who stormed Bawaleshie during the Ayawaso by-election were untrained.

Sam George who is before the Commission of Inquiry for the second time said the actions of the Operatives made them look like they lacked training.

"I have worked in Gov't and have engaged persons in the security forces and they are some of the finest people we have. It didn't look as though the operatives at Ayawaso were trained"

"I saw some of the security operatives pushing and shoving Maame Afua while others entered her car, looking for her phone, as she had taken pictures of them".

Sam George explained to the Commission that the whole violence started with a scuffle over key between the NDC activists and the National Security Operatives.

"Double (National Security operative) engaged with me to try and deescalate the situation. The scuffles between appeared to have broken out over a key. Double then said I should go with him to retrieve the key to calm the situation"

Sam George yesterday produced some empty bullet shells to the Commission and also said he did not provoke the SWAT team but was only calling on them to stop brutalizing the NDC members.

In a viral video, Sam George was seen been brutalized by a National Security Operative during the violence.

The Ayawaso by-election was characterized by violence which resulted in some 13 people sustaining injuries.

This made President Akufo-Addo set up a Commission of Inquiry to investigate what caused the unfortunate incident.
