The Greater Accra Regional Security Council (REGSEC) has lifted an earlier directive that banned visits to beach during the Christmas and New Year festivities.
In a press release the REGSEC said the decision to lift the ban was taken at its meeting held on Thursday, 30 December 2021.
However, the statement from the REGSEC noted that only persons who show proof of covid-19 vaccination will be allowed entry into the beaches.
The statement also said the Ghana Health Service will mount vaccination points at all beach facilities to provide vaccination for persons who are not vaccinated before entry.
The REGSEC further cautioned beach operators to ensure there is strict adherence to all covid-19 protocols.
