Activist Oliver Barker-Vormawor has apologised for his allegation of bribery against the Appointments Committee of Parliament.

Appearing before the Committee on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 after he was summoned, Barker-Vormawor explained that his post was not intended to disparage members of the Committee.

He further informed the Committee of his willingness to delete the post on social media.

“I’m saying here clearly that my post was not intended to disparage members of the committee and I have not intended to say that members of this committee have received or demanded bribe from various individuals. At no point was my statement intended to communicate same and for these reasons I apologise,” he said.

“I am happy to pull it down as the conversation has indicated and clarity has been brought to it,” he added.

Vormawor appearance follows his claims, that the Appointments Committee of Parliament demands money from ministerial nominees in exchange for approval.
