De Eye group an alleged militia group, has sued Multimedia Group and investigative journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni.

Manasseh and his Joy News team aired an exposé which suggested that the De-Eye group were training individuals as a militia for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The NPP and the group have all denied the claims and this has developed into a legal battle as they have dragged Manasseh and Multimedia Group to the court.

A writ of summon issued by the High Court commanded both Manasseh and Multimedia to act within eight days or face judgment in their absence.

Portions of the writ read " A declaration that the 1st Defendant's publication on Joy TV that the Plaintiff, De-Eye Group Limited is operating a militia group in the heart of the nation with the complicity of the New Patriotic Party administration is slanderous anddefamatory of the Plaintiff and same was made without reasonable, just or probable cause".

"An Order of injunction directed at the Defendants, agents, assigs, privies from continuing to air the said defamatory documentary which they have described the Plaintiff as a militia group operating in the heart of the nation.
